Hello Heathens,
I got my ssh keys to work again so I can edit the site. I owe you 2 playlists (today’s show and the 10th’s show). Check out the links below for the playlists that I didn’t post for y’all.

Hello Heathens,
This week we’ll be talking about the Olympics. I’m not someone who would say they’re a sports fan, but I always enjoy watching the Olympics. This year more than any other has really highlighted how bad legacy media companies are when it comes to streaming. I’ve seen numerous headlines about how viewership is down this year compared to 2016 Rio. In 2016 live streaming was pretty good, but not to the level it’s at now.
Hello Heathens,
Now that work will be slowing down a bit I can start to focus on some of the updates for the website that I have planned. Right now the site loads pretty slowly so first step is going to be taking all the old posts down for a bit while I work on a redesign. If there are old playlists you want, reach out to me on twitter to get copies of them.
Hello Heathens,
Writing for the website has been a lot of fun and has vastly improved how fast I am able to pump out content for classes. Currently I have a class that is consuming a lot of time with schizophrenic file hosting for the reading material, vast amounts of reading and synthesizing, and something like 50 assignments to do in 6 weeks. If I hadn’t spent parts of this summer getting into better habits with writing I would be further behind in this class than I already am.
Hello Heathens,
Short update for the post this week. The show didn’t fall on the 4th of July this year, but that won’t stop me from having a American metal band playlist today. The US has a lot of great classic metal bands as we are highlighting in the first half of the show, and then some great newer bands. Nothing else to post other than I had a great 4th of July grilling.
Hello Heathens,
Nothing important to muse on this week, but I have a playlist that I put together weeks ago and never got around to playing because I kept finding other stuff to play. We are in a bit of a slump for good new releases right now as it’s somewhat of a festival/concert season.

Hello Heathens,
This week I wanted to make a playlist that highlighted some of my favorite male vocalists in metal, and I realized that when I listen to metal I don’t really put a lot of stress on how the lead singer sounds if the singer is a guy. Maybe part of it is that so many metal bands follow a genre formula and so all the singers sound roughly the same in a subgenre, or maybe that what highlights male leads is more of how the band surrounding the lead singer sounds.
Hello Heathens,
well it’s Tuesday so that means it’s time for another blog post. Today’s show is going to be a mix of classics and new releases as that’s what I’ve been listening to for the last week in the office while I did some photo editing. Maybe I felt inspired by all the Manowar that I listened to with Dr Grrrip at the gym last week, but I had a good time visiting old playlists for the show and thinking about the days when Harry and I were still doing the show and we just did comedy bits with a little metal sprinkled in.
Hello Heathens,
I continue to be surprised at how much good new music comes out each year as I’d think by now there wouldn’t be a lot left to some of the more formulaic genres of metal, but maybe at this point in time I have a good idea of where to go to find good new stuff and skip the chaff that comes out. It’s cool to see how in a time where it feels like most online communities are insane with infighting and purity testing, most of the music scenes that I follow seem to be chugging along talking about music and artists and avoiding most of the worst aspects of online drama that other cultures seem to have fallen to.
Hello Heathens,
Sad news this week as Kentaro Miura passed away. I don’t have a lot to say about his passing other than to encourage you all to read his manga Berserk, and Giganto Maxia as these are my favorite works by Miura. As I would like this to be a serious post and pay respect to Miura I will not be posting a longer blog to go along with this.
