Hello Heathens,
This is a pretty short post with 2 playlists; I mostly just want to remind readers that sometimes other people see things in us that we don’t see in ourselves.
I started my current job in August 2022, and my first employee review was at the six-month mark. It was a tense conversation with my boss, who said that I often told her what she wanted to hear rather than the truth about where my projects stood.
Hello Heathens,
Nothing to post other than a show playlist for the day.

Hello Heathens,

Hello Heathens,
I think I’ve talked about it from time to time on the show, but I am a fan of F1 racing. The recent season has been marred by controversy on and off track which makes the whole sport look bad, but that isn’t the focus on the short post today. I’ve noticed something while listening to Lewis Hamilton interviews recently. He’s trapped in the same downward spiral every other “Greatest of All Time” person hits when their time has finally passed.
Hello Heathens,
Finally finished reading Neuromancer this week. The beginning of the book was slow, but after the halfway point the book picks up immensely. The ending of the book is some of the best sci-fi I’ve ever read and the prose are wild at the end. With lines like “His eyes were eggs of unstable crystal, vibrating with a frequency whose name was rain and the sound of trains, suddenly sprouting a humming forest of hair-fine glass spines,” at the end of the book cementing Gibson as one of the best to ever do it.
Hello Heathens,
I’ve already caught up on the good new releases from 2024. I should have pushed doing my end of 2023 countdown stuff until the start of the year so I could have some buffer time to let good albums build up.
Speaking of good albums, Metal Storm’s 2023 award list is up and a great place to find albums in the genres you like the most! I always enjoy seeing what makes it into their genre lists.
Hello Heathens,
This is a fairly short post for the week, but in my list of top albums of 2023 I missed an album. I should have placed Seven Crowns and Seven Seals by Sulphur Aeon in my top 10 or so albums of last year as the album had a score of 90% based on my calculations. I missed including the album because I never put it in my “2023 Albums List” so when I ran my comparison between albums in that list, and tracks in my liked playlist I got 0 tracks for it.
Hello Heathens,
Alright the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the top slots including number 1. I would suggest also reading the first part and second part of my top 23 albums of 2023 so you can understand the scoring system. There is one of those collage lists at the end of this for people too lazy to read the other two posts.
In Exile by 1476 I think at this point I’ve played nearly every track off this album for the show.
Hello Heathens,
If you haven’t read part 1 to see how I scored albums this year I would recommend doing so as I am trying out a new method. Is it the perfect way to score albums? No. Did it help make this list a lot faster and easier than previous years? Yes.
Honorable Mentions
I forgot to include this in part one, so I’ll do it here.
